Platform scope and accounts
By using seshaikhaya.com, you agree to comply with these Terms, applicable South African law, and the platform's safety and listing standards. Users must provide accurate information, protect account credentials, and only market property they own or are authorised to list. makaug is not an escrow service, law firm, or party to transactions between users.
Third-party property results
Some property results may be sourced from publicly available third-party websites, social media pages, property portals, or other online sources. These results are provided for discovery and reference only.
Ownership of third-party content
makaug does not claim ownership of third-party images, videos, captions, descriptions, trademarks, contact details, or other source materials. All third-party content remains the property of its original rights holder.
No verification unless marked
Unless a listing is marked as claimed or verified, makaug does not guarantee availability, price accuracy, seller authority, land title, ownership, image rights, or contact details. Users must check the original source and carry out independent verification before payment or viewing.
Correction, claim, and removal
Owners, brokers, creators, photographers, rights holders, or authorised representatives may request correction, claim, or removal of a third-party result. makaug will review valid requests and remove or update disputed content within 48 hours where appropriate.
Optional TikTok connection
A user may choose to connect TikTok through TikTok's authorization flow. makaug requests only user.info.basic and video.list so the user can review their basic profile and public videos and choose an original TikTok link for a property listing. The connection is read-only: makaug cannot post, edit, or delete TikTok content. The user can disconnect at any time, which deletes the stored makaug authorization. TikTok content remains subject to TikTok's terms and the rights of the account holder. makaug is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok.
Prohibited conduct and safety
Fraud, impersonation, deceptive listings, document forgery, malicious links, attempts to bypass security, and unauthorised copying or rehosting of third-party media are prohibited. Users must independently verify identity, authority, property details, title or tenure, and payment instructions before transacting.
Fees, liability, and governing law
Free listings, advertising, featured placements, and other paid services may be subject to separate published or written terms. makaug does not guarantee availability, transaction completion, title validity, seller performance, tenancy performance, or freedom from third-party disputes. These Terms are governed by South African law and disputes are subject to competent South African courts.
